This Wednesday, Patrick held a Workshop on Reactive Spring at the #workshoptage2019.
Twenty-eight years ago, the first Workshoptage took place. Since then, it has been one of Switzerland’s leading event for open-source workshops in Switzerland. Almost three decades, and thousands of fascinated visitors later, it is still one of the fairest events in the industry. Speakers get paid a reasonable fee, and the attendants pay a very fair price for great workshops.
The association which is responsible for this event is CH Open. Their main goal is to inform and connect people, authorities, and companies in the field of ICT. They’ve been doing that for almost 40 years now. Go check them out!
This year, Patrick hosted one of the most-visited workshops of the three-day-long event. Twenty-three people attended his class on Reactive Spring at the HSR Rapperswil. Besides the beautiful view of Lake Zurich, they mainly looked at important concepts in Reactive Programming such as Project Reactor and different ways of incorporating it into the Spring ecosystem with Spring Boot.
The event changes locations every year, rotating between Zurich, Rapperswil, and Rotkreuz. After a full day of workshops, the speakers had a chance to exchange their experiences at dinner. Check out our social media channels for more pictures of the event.
See you next year!
